Race Walk for Fun and Lifetime Fitness
***The Chicago Walkers Club has suspended Saturday morning and Thursday evening training walks as well as social activities due to COVID-19. Group training activities will resume when they can be safely conducted.***
Come join us! We walk every Saturday by the Lakefront.
We meet Saturdays at 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on the Lakefront Path opposite the east entrance of the Lincoln Park Zoo.
Our coaches are available to teach you race walking techniques and help you achieve your goals.
Whatever your pace, you will find a home at Chicago Walkers.

9 a.m. Saturday Fitness Walk
This cornerstone of our training is a great place to get started race walking. We begin at 9 a.m. with instruction for new walkers and warm-up drills. Then we walk at a brisk pace for 45 minutes and end with cool-down stretches and club announcements. Meet us across from the east entrance of the Lincoln Park Zoo on Cannon Dr south of Fullerton.
8 a.m. Saturday Advanced Workout
Join us at 8 a.m. for a faster pace.
Thursday Evening Speed Training
Meet us in summer months Thursdays at 6 p.m. on the west side of the Field House at the south end of Lincoln Park to work on speed.
